OS2, which is being led by the Construction Industry Institute Contractors (CII) and the Construction Users Roundtable Owners (CURT), is a technology-enabled business transformation for our industry, wherein we are redesigning the fundamental business ecosystem for construction and creating a new transactional platform that will lower cost, improve speed, and result in a much healthier industry. It is beyond implementation of Best Practices, which unfortunately are not delivering the necessary step-change improvements that we require across our industry. OS2 is a transcendent initiative that will create an environment for advanced management concepts and point solutions to thrive and deliver significant improvements in capital efficiency for owners and profitability enhancement for contractors and the entire supply chain. There are over 70 companies and 20 consortiums that are interested and/or involved in OS2 thus far, and the list grows monthly.
A recent ENR session offered this same class and stated: “learn how this new system could achieve break-through improvements such as cutting 50% of time and 35-40% of costs out of capital programs.
